A worker has died after a concrete wall collapsed at a construction site in central Singapore on Thursday afternoon (Jun 15). The accident happened at the Bernam Street off Anson Road, where the Fuji Xerox Towers were being demolished.
According to a police statement, the accident occurred at about 2pm. The building was a three-storey structure, with the second storey being used for offices. The front of the building was being demolished when the wall fell, causing severe injuries to the worker who died. The other workers on site were unharmed. The construction work had been stopped as a result of the incident. A police investigation has been launched into the cause of the collapse. one bernam
