Whipped Soap is a luscious soap that has been lightly whipped to give it a soft, buttery texture. It works great as hand soap, body wash or shaving cream and can be scented to your liking. They also work well in place of a solid soap bar, and are gentle on the skin with a rich foaming lather. These whipped soaps are also a wonderful alternative to commercial products that may contain unnatural additives and chemicals.
To make a whipped soap, you will need a good quality liquid or melt and pour soap base that is low in lye. This base will be a blend of SCI powder and stearic acid, along with Coco Betaine (Cocomidopropyl Betaine is an alternate). We also add in a variety of natural essential oils which are incredibly beneficial for the skin. Lavender essential oil is known for its calming properties, while Rose essential oil has a lovely antibacterial effect and helps to hydrate the skin. We also use Shea Butter, which is full of phytochemicals and antioxidants to help nourish the skin.
Once your soap is ready, you will need to stir it to remove any clumps. Then, you will need to add your fragrance and colour if desired. You will need to whisk again, and then transfer the batter into jars or containers for storage.
To use your whipped soap, simply scoop a small amount into the palm of your hand and apply to the skin. You can use this soap with a nylon puff for extra lather or just apply it directly to the body, working it into the skin in a circular motion. The soap can be rinsed off and then patted dry with a towel. It’s important to keep in mind that a little goes a long way with this type of soap, so you will find that one jar can last you a month or more if used sparingly. Best Whipped Soap
